Every magic wallet has its own unique trick or tricks hidden within an innocent-looking wallet. I remember buying my first magician’s wallet and thinking how amazing it was and then performing card to wallet and blowing away my spectators. Purchasing your first magician wallet can be a little tricky you have to know what you really want, card to wallet, mind reading or an all rounder. You also have to consider if you want a wallet for your everyday carry or one for when you are performing. There are also different sized wallets you need to consider – for an ever day carry they are call hip wallets.

1. Jerry O’Connell Plus Wallet PRO (Large)

Jerry O’Connell Large Plus Wallet Dimensions are Approximately 170mm x 100mm

Purchase here

JerryO’Connell Plus was the clear winner for magicians wallets poll. The wallet itself is handmade from the very best leather around. The wallet its self is not an everyday carry wallet its large you would only use this wallet with a jacket. This is because of the functionality and trick you can do with it. The most popular trick is card to wallet to envelope. You can also load borrowed rings, signed coins, and watches into the wallet. When you want to produce the object you pull the wallet from your jacket pocket, unzip the side compartment and remove the envelope with the spectator’s card, coin, ring or watch.

The wallet comes with several other features like a direct load with no palm allowing you to load any borrowed small object. You can also use the wallet as a peek wallet a spectator writes a word or draws something on a business card they then place it in your wallet, you now know what they are thinking..

2. Stealth Assassin Wallet

The Stealth Assassin Wallet Dimensions are Approximately 101.6 mm x 88.9mm

The stealth Assassin is probably the best mentalism wallet ever created. World class magicians use this as their daily carry hip wallet round and also as a professional prop. Created by Peter Nardi, it has now become one of the best-selling wallets ever.

Manufactured for the best leather, there are two versions the V1.1 (black) and the Mayfair Edition (brown). I have had both but finally settled on the V1.1 version as the Mayfair kept on manufacturing faults.

So what can the Assassin do? You can carry around an act in your pocket with the Stealth Assassin wallet. The key thing you can do with the wallet is have a very clear peek of any object a spectator has written on a business card. You can have a spectator write anything down on the back of your business card, place the card in your wallet hand the wallet back to the spectator and read their minds. The wallet also comes with sight unseen peek and good index for holding additional reveals, you can also load signed card to this wallet.

There is a great Facebook group once you purchase the wallet to share ideas.

3. The Rebel Wallet

The Rebel Wallet Wallet Dimensions are Approximately TBC (Hip Style Wallet)

Number three on the list is the Rebel wallet by Secret Tannery. I know little about this wallet other than you, it’s a card to wallet. But to be number three on our list, it must be good. There is a great review below, so please check it out.

They craft the Rebel Wallet from a soft Nappa leather with blue stitching detail running throughout. Holding 14+ business or credit cards plus folded bills, it’s surprising how slim the wallet feels. The loading area is a new design, no outside pockets or cuts in the leather so you can be confident in handing this out to spectators. This is the smallest Card To Envelope on the market and the only wallet that you can set up right in front of the spectator! Use as a hip pocket or jacket pocket style wallet.

5. Razor Wallet

The Stealth Assassin Wallet Dimensions are Approximately 100.mm x 80.mm

The Razor wallet is my every day carry wallet, it’s an ingenious peek wallet made from artificial leather called pleather. But don’t let that put you off, you really can’t tell the different. The reason it’s my everyday wallet is that its small and allows you to carry a few business cards and credit cards along with a few notes.

It does what it does very well and is not that expensive, what’s not to like about the Razor Wallet?
