Creating A Unique Stage Act with Damon Conlan
About the episode
**The first 5 minutes of the podcast were a bit of a slow start but please stick with it, it gets better we promise.**
Welcome to this special extra edition of the Magicians Advice Podcast where your hosts, Phil Taylor and Ian Brennan, talk with Damon Conlan about creating a stage magic routine.
Damon is a Midlands based magician who started out in close up magic but now spends the majority of his time performing at Comedy clubs and performing stage magic. Damon talks about the differences and similarities between close up and stage. Damon also talks openly and honestly about the process behind creating his one man show ‘Make Britain Magic Again’ Which he performed in the Blue Orange Theater Birmingham. A lot of magicians perform an effect or two that can play to a large room but very few have created a full one-hour show and sold our theaters where guests pay to come and see you. It was a real pleasure to chat with Damon and learn from his experiences, we hope you enjoy the podcast and take something away from it as well.
